Greeting from the Chairman

In commemorating the 22nd anniversary of the founding of the Global Forum of Japan, we intend, on the basis of the achievements in the past, to intensify further the intellectual dialogues with opinion leaders, domestic as well as overseas, in the face of the world-wide great tide of globalization and IT revolution. Through these efforts, it is our desire to endeavor to make correct analyses of international political and economic situations and thus to make whatever contribution as a private sector institution in a way to help our country to play a proper role in the international community. international political and economic situations and thus to make whatever contribution as a private sector institution in a way to help our country to play a proper role in the international community.

Chairman
The Global Forum of Japan

  Greeting from the President

Among our friends who used to attend Global Forum meetings frequently, we now have foreign ministers and defense ministers in several countries. I feel that Japan is steadily expanding her human networks with the world through the work of the Forum. If the first 10 years of our Forum were regarded as a "hop" and the second 10 years as a "step", from now on is the time for a "jump". It is said that "continuation is power", and we will continue to work hard. We wish to further contribute to the strengthening of mutual understanding and cooperation in the region, especially with respect to focusing on the growing momentum towards community building in East Asia.
